Prepper Medicine

First let me advise you that I am not an MD, nor am I qualified or authorized to give medical advice to humans.  Keep in mind, however, that we are all animals.  The information herein is for reference only, and I bear no liability for misuse or adverse effects (allergy) by using any of these antibiotics.  Essentially all of the antibiotics used in veterinary medicine are from human medicine, and most were tested on animals before being used in humans.  Although you may have used a particular antibiotic in the past, your body may have developed a sensitivity or allergy to the very same product since then, and you should discontinue any medication if you are exhibiting negative signs (usually a rash).

Everybody gets sick sooner or later.  It can be a mild “cold” or upper respiratory infection, or blood poisoning from an infected scratch.  In a post-disaster situation, the risk of infection likely will go way up, due to lack of medical care, contamination, stress, poor nutrition, exposure, and reduced hygiene.  Even gunshot wounds are possible, or lacerations and broken bones.  Having a stock assortment of common antibiotics ready now is a good idea.

Antibiotics don’t change to poison the day after they expire.  It has been proven that antibiotics are safe to use for at least five (5) years beyond their expiration date.  DON’T throw away expired antibiotics or other medications for that matter.  They may not be as effective as when they were “fresh,” but they are probably 90+% still active.  In a disaster situation they may not be available again for a long time, and you’ll be longing for the Amoxicillin you flushed down the toilet.

Try the “First Choice” medicines; if they aren’t working, try another First Choice, or go to the “Resistant/2nd Choice” column.  You won’t have the luxury of doing a culture and sensitivity test to see what is causing your infection and what the best antibiotic is to eliminate it.  This will all be trial and error.  You have to give an antibiotic at least a three-day trial before deciding it’s not working, and even slight improvement is a sign to continue what you’re on.  Don’t jump from one antibiotic to another unless symptoms are worsening.  Checking body temperature is a good way to judge.  If your former fever of 103°F is coming down, it’s a good indicator that things are improving.  (Add a digital or “old fashioned” thermometer to your list.)

An abscess generally needs to be drained before it will heal.  That means lancing it at some point to “let the corruption out” of the body.  Your immune system is trying to throw out the bacteria by killing and consuming it, creating pus, but sometimes the bacteria reproduces faster than the white blood cells can work.  That’s where antibiotics help out by interfering with the bacteria’s reproduction or by actually killing the bugs.  Often the abscess will rupture by itself, when the skin over the infection breaks down, but you can also get pretty sick before that happens.  (Add a half-dozen scalpel blades to that list, too; #10 curved edge for slicing, #11 sharp point for lancing.)

There are various categories of antibiotics, such as the penicillins (-cillins), sulfas (sulfa-), tetracyclines (-cyclines), and fluoroquinolones (-oxacins).  If you have Ciprofloxacin and it isn’t working, then the other “-oxacins” probably won’t be any better.  This isn’t always a hard/fast rule.  Amoxicillin may not knock down a cat bite abscess, but amoxicillin-clavulinic acid combination usually will.  Survival medicine is a situation where you do what you can with what you have.  And add lots of prayer.

An antibiotic doesn’t do the job of wiping out infection all by itself; it basically gives your own immune system a “backup.”  You can optimize the effect of an antibiotic by keeping yourself well hydrated, warm, comfortable, well-fed, and by reducing stress as much as possible.

If you are stocking up, it would be good to have something from each category, such as Amoxicillin, Cephalexin, Ciprofloxacin, Doxycycline, and Trimethoprim-sulfa.  Or substitute Amoxi-Clavulinic acid for plain Amoxi.  It’s a “bigger gun” for treating infection.  Also, you want to use the first line of antibiotics in nearly all cases (exception might be a bullet wound or deep laceration).  If you continually use the strongest/newest antibiotic, you risk developing resistance to that antibiotic.  And use the antibiotic until you are certain the infection is over, and add a few days treatment to be sure.  A wound would usually take two weeks’ treatment or more.

Cost can be an issue with some antibiotics.  I traveled to a very remote atoll in 1997, and I knew the place was a virtual cesspool.  I asked my doc for a prescription for a week’s worth of Ciprofloxacin, and the 14 tablets cost me $100.  Today you can get 30 for $4.  Generics in nearly all cases are just as effective as the original trade-named product.  Some in-store pharmacies (Walmart, Sam’s Club, Giant Eagle) offer a 30-day supply or 30 doses of common antibiotics and other medicines for just $4, or sometimes free.

Viral infections, such as flu, are not affected by antibiotics.  But my opinion always has been that if a virus is causing damage, there are secondary bacterial “opportunists” that are also present, and an antibiotic can’t hurt.  It may reduce the overall recovery time.

I’m not including injectable antibiotics for several reasons.  First, they require syringes and needles, which in today’s world are used only once and replaced.  Before plastic came along, syringes were made of metal and glass and were reused until worn out.  Needles were resharpened, sterilized, and reused as well.  Not nearly as sharp as today’s disposables.  Second, many injectable antibiotics require refrigeration and may have a shorter shelf-life overall.  Third, once you put it in, you can’t take it back out, but you can stop giving tablets if there is a reaction.  Lastly, injectable antibiotics are nearly always in glass vials or bottles, and subject to breakage.

There is a “Guide to Veterinary Drugs for Human Consumption, Post-SHTF” that covers readily-available veterinary medicines that we can use at: http://www.truthistreason.net/guide-to-veterinary-drugs-for-human-consumption-post-shtf

However, it is just as easy (and probably less expensive) to buy from All-
Day Chemist at
https://www.alldaychemist.com/.  These are generics that are very affordable.

If you are on your own, I would recommend having a couple weeks’ or a month’s worth of the following in the largest sizes (mg):

            Amoxi/Clavulinic acid (Augmentin®)

            Azithromycin (Z-Pack®)

            Cephalexin (Keflex®)

            Ciprofloxacin

            Doxycycline

            Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole

If you need a prescription, you might confide with your family doctor and tell him/her your concerns about preparing for all possibilities.  There are legal ramifications in the good old litigious USA, but if you’re lucky you’ll have a doc with common sense.  It would also be wise to read the antibiotic inserts (also available online at www.drugs.com ) and familiarize yourself with what they’re used for, side effects, and dosages for various problems.  The dosages listed above are “shotgun” amounts, or highest levels.

American Pamphleteer                                          April 2013

What’s happening to America?  What went wrong that changed everything we knew about this great country we grew up in?  Capitalism and a free market economy made the United States of America the strongest and wealthiest Nation in the world, guided by our Constitution, which reigned in the negative aspects of human nature; wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.

“Progressives” would have you believe that mankind has advanced, improved, evolved to a point that the Constitution is irrelevant and outdated, written by old white men.  Yet we all truly know that nothing has changed as far as human nature is concerned.  But the progressives (also known as socialists, Democrats, communists, collectivists, statists, and yes, even Republicans) have a long-term goal in mind for America that is transforming our country into a socialist cog in the “great” New World Order of one-world government under the United Nations.  Have you read UN Agenda 21?  If you have, did you brush it off as impossibility?  Time to wake up and smell world communism.

You don’t have to read the whole thing, just go to the Wikipedia description of Agenda 21.  Also check out “Georgia Guidestones,” which, in my opinion, was funded by the Rockefellers.  Both share a similar goal of reducing world population to a mere 500 million people (today it is just over 7 billion).  “Crazy,” you say?  “Impossible,” you think?  Well, friend, this is a long-term goal that the UN hopes to achieve during THIS CENTURY, hence “Agenda 21.”

But, you say you don’t see this happening yet.  No?  Think long-term, slow die-off.  Now consider Obamacare and how it will slowly eliminate the sick, infirm, elderly and handicapped.  Consider what genetically-modified crops (GMOrganisms) will do worldwide when they fail.  Are government and private laboratories working on new pathogenic viruses right now?  Is nuclear holocaust rearing its ugly head again?  Is there something to the clamor about “chemtrails” in the sky?  How do they relate to the Four Horsemen – Conquest, War, Famine, and Death?  Do you really think this is all a conspiracy theory?

One hundred seventy-eight countries signed Agenda 21in 1992.  It’s been twenty years in operation.  In the USA, 528 cities have accepted Agenda 21’s International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI), which promotes “sustainable development,” the key to transforming our world.  ICLEI guides the programming of our public school systems.  Our children are learning that the New World Order is a good thing, and one-world government under the UN is the answer.  They are being taught that socialism is fair for everyone, environmentalism trumps humanity, and that they should never question authority (i.e., government).  Look at the voters who went for Obama, who promised to “fundamentally transform” America.  Obama is purposely destroying our economy to weaken our sovereignty, enabling our acceptance of the UN goal.

Now do you understand why more and more Americans are considering home schooling?  Our public school system is indoctrinating our children in the goals of Agenda 21.  I’m even skeptical about parochial schools and elite private schools.  It is the elitist, ultra-wealthy of the world that are behind the UN and its goals.  Who do you think will decide which people make up the 500 million?  Will the extended Rockefeller Family be among them?  How about the Obamas and Clintons?  Will your grandchildren see the next century, or be victims of UN Agenda 21?

Dogs

Shelter-in-place or move to a redoubt?  Lots of pros and cons about this, and most of it depends upon strength in numbers.  Obviously, the more remote and inaccessible your castle is, the harder it will be for intruders to discover or invade.  But I’m 65, and I don’t own any remote property.  My house sits on a very defendable cul-de-sac, essentially surrounded on three sides by water – my “moat.”  I could pull stakes and move to a national park or wildlife preserve, but it would be a simple campsite with tent and no walls, and I would need several families to go with me for security.

When our form of civilization collapses, which seems inevitable with our current insane government, I plan to do all the right things to ensure my home and area are secure.  There will be perimeter alarms and felled trees for roadblocks, trip wires and night vision.  But one thing that people overlook may be the very best alarm system ever known to man.  A dog.  But, better yet, two dogs.

I’ve been a veterinarian for over 30 years, and I’ve owned, seen and worked with a lot of dogs, including military working dogs and police dogs.  Recently I accompanied an incredible Labrador retriever, “Buster,” in search of World War II Missing In Action (MIA) Marines and soldiers.  Buster can sniff out bones that have been buried up to 100 years ago, detecting the miniscule amounts of aromatic organic compounds still leaching up through the soil from what’s left of the body.  Incredible, but just an example of “superhuman” abilities of dogs’ senses that include hearing, sight, and, perhaps, a sixth sense or even seventh and eighth senses.

We’ve just adopted two 5-month-old female German shepherd littermates into our household.  Or, as they would see it, our “pack.”  Although people try to treat pets as human members of their families, the dog will always consider the family a pack, with an alpha male leader, and alpha female head of the female members of the pack, and a definite peck-order of all.

Detect fear, evil, danger, “something wrong”

The stories about military working dogs (MWD) and other extraordinary dog-related events are endless.  Dogs have been used by military units since Roman times and before.  Soldiers and Marines who served in canine units during World War I and II, Vietnam, and more recent conflicts tell about being alerted of the enemy long before approaching an ambush.  Some tell about doubting the dog, that the handler couldn’t see or detect anything wrong, but the dog was always right.  ALWAYS right.  The handlers learned that no matter what, you always trust the dog’s judgment.  If not an ambush, then it was a trip wire, mine, dead enemy soldier, or SOMETHING WRONG.  Nothing yet has been invented that can do a better job.

Regarding a sixth sense, I’ve heard stories about cat owners who have a group of people over to their homes, and if there is one person in the group who doesn’t like cats, the cat will find that person and focus on them!  Unexplainable.  Then I’ve heard mothers say their child brought home some friends from school and the dog growled at one of the kids when introduced.  I’d trust the dog, that there’s something to be cautious of about that one child.  Always trust the dog.

Alert 24/7

In a home or redoubt, it would be ideal to have a “dog door” so that the dog(s) can come and go as they feel the need.  We have a fenced yard and our dogs can go in and out of our heated garage, where they stay when we aren’t home.  I prefer that they be with us always, but I do have to go to work.  This brings up another issue:  separation anxiety.

Dogs are pack animals, and now you and your human family are the pack.  With just one dog, when you leave them alone to go to work, some dogs become stressed.  “Where are you?  Are you coming back?  Why did you leave me?  I’ve got to find you!  I’ve got to find you NOW!”  You come home to the door frame chewed up, with scratches all over the door (the one you left by).  Or there is other destruction due to frustration and anxiety; general freaking out.

I don’t think animals other than man have a concept of time.  They truly live for the moment, and don’t understand, “I’ll be back in an hour.”  Alpha (the pack leader) must be kept track of in case he/she needs me.  “Where’s Alpha?”  “I’ve got to find him/her!”  There have been medications to help with separation anxiety, but who wants to have their pet on meds all the time?  I usually advise obedience school and another dog for companionship (part of the pack is still here), or at least a cat friend.  Dogs aren’t fooled by leaving the television on, even if you run “Lassie” on it.  Sometimes this is more of a puppy thing than with an adult dog, but all dogs (and cats) seem to have a “fuller life,” and are more content with another dog to relate to.  I say, “Cats speak French and dogs speak German, so the same species is always better.”

Since dogs don’t understand time, they are “on guard” 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  They probably don’t know what day it is, either.  They learn the sound of your car coming down the street and are at the door to greet you.  Common sounds, scents, and sights are recorded as “normal,” and everything else becomes suspect and in need of investigation.

Don’t need to be attack trained/naturally protective

Attack training would be a plus, but I’m a firm believer that all dogs need to go through at least level one obedience training.  That includes learning to, “Heal” (on and off leash), and unhesitatingly respond to the commands, “Sit,” “Stay,” “Come,” and “Down.”  Remember, these are COMMANDS, not requests.  If you have to repeat the command more than once, the dog needs more training (generally that means more assertiveness or “alpha-ness” from you).  In a bad situation, this may mean the dog’s life or yours if they do not respond immediately.  I’m always impressed by a dog with good manners.

Try to find a dog training club near you.  We have a local volunteer organization that offers basic and advanced courses at reasonable prices ($90 for 8 weeks/8 one-hour sessions).  Be involved in the training yourself, don’t give your dog to someone to train for you.  The dog will learn to obey the trainer very well, but who are you?  The trainer should be teaching you how to train the dog, not doing it for you.

Dogs are naturally protective of the pack, and will fight to the death to protect any and all pack members.  That doesn’t need to be taught.  Dogs seem to have the ability to detect evil/danger/threat, either through a sixth sense or from pheromones given off by the subject.  Pheromones are invisible clues that most animals live by.  A dog can walk out to the patio, sniff the air a couple times, and know that there are three dogs upwind; one a female (estrogen/progesterone), one a male (testosterone), and one “not right” (neutered).  Like the story of the male moth that can find the female moth on a tree miles upwind, they pick up on the ever-expanding “plume” of scent from the source.  By staying within that plume and moving toward increasing strength, the animal or insect can locate their quarry.

On patrol or translocating

When traveling, dogs tend to enjoy the trailblazing part; they like to run on ahead.  They are your “point” when patrolling or moving out.  Again, two dogs afford twice the sensory strength and can scan better than one.  Dogs can be trained to “alert” by lying down or freezing on point.  Down would be better, if you have to fire over them.  More training beyond the level one obedience will give you better control and more options.  In any situation, dogs are tremendous “force multipliers,” extending your eyes and ears well beyond human capacities.  Most sensible people also fear big dogs, and some ethnicities abhor them.  Because of this, dogs are sometimes shot first.  You don’t want this to happen, but it will put you on maximum alert and make you more than willing for payback.

Feeding

Long before there were pet foods in bags and boxes on the grocer’s shelves, pets ate what we ate, or the scraps.  In general, if there is a balanced meal for us, the dogs can eat the same foods.  Commercial dog foods contain enough fat to go rancid if not kept in oxygen-low or vacuum storage.  Preservatives help delay spoilage, but all foods eventually degrade.  Certainly the dog will hunt on its own and eat wild game, as well as vegetation.  Eating a whole rabbit provides meat protein, some fat, calcium from the bones, and vitamins from the liver and organs.  But they are also eating everything the rabbit ate in the previous 24 hours, providing other vitamins and some roughage.

There are numerous dog food recipes online today to make your own balanced diet, but realize that all the ingredients may not be available in a future situation.  Share your vitamins and what you are eating, and the group will probably survive.  I won’t mention eating your dog in a survival situation!

Vaccination

Keep your dog’s vaccinations current.  Nine-way “distemper” shots are good for a year or more.  Rabies vaccine is good for one year the first time given, then should be boosted every three years thereafter.  Some states don’t recognize a 3-year rabies shot, but that doesn’t mean it won’t last that long.  Lyme disease (Borrellia) vaccine is also available, as is kennel cough (tracheobronchitis - Bordetella).  The nine-way shot includes canine distemper, hepatitis/adenovirus-2, parvovirus, parainfluenza, coronavirus, and four types of Leptospirosis vaccine.

Post-collapse it will be hard enough to find human vaccines, let alone veterinary ones, so keeping your dogs away from other stray dogs will be important, too.  Some of these diseases are more deadly for puppies under a year old than adult dogs, such as parvo and kennel cough.  Mature dogs that have had several annual vaccinations should be well protected for years beyond their due dates, but anything is possible.

Flea/tick/hearworm/intestinal worm control

Many of the preventive products for dogs have very long shelf lives, and some have no expiration date.  In general, medicines and preventive products are good for at least five years beyond their expiry dates.  Mosquitoes carry heartworms, so basically all dogs are susceptible to infection.  The infection takes about three years to debilitate and kill a dog, but it is easily prevented with monthly heartworm medicine that you can stock up on and rotate annually.  Many heartworm preventives also contain intestinal worm medicine to kill roundworms and hookworms as well every month.

Flea control is necessary to keep your abode from getting polluted with fleas, and monthly liquid applicators do a great job of keeping these bugs down.  Be sure to get high quality (98+% control) flea products from your vet, rather than over-the-counter look-alikes that are about 50% effective.  Some flea products also control ticks, but there are some very effective tick collars available that do an even better job.

NOT from pet stores

I’ve been battling the puppy mill-pet store connection for more than two decades.  I didn’t know what puppy mills were when I graduated from vet school, but learned about them when I worked for a humane organization.  Pet stores (and now enterprising individuals who set up a puppy sale website) buy puppies directly from the puppy mill breeder, or through a “broker,” who cleans up the puppy, vaccinates, deworms them, and creates a “pedigree” of sorts.  The broker generally has the puppy for two or three days, then they are shipped out to the pet store.  The pet store pays $25 to $50 for the puppy (some breeds are more), then adds a zero or two to the price and has them on sale the next day.  People who say they, “rescued the puppy from the pet store,” are simply perpetuating this industry and creating an open pet store cage for a replacement puppy to take their place.

Not all puppy mill puppies turn out to be “lemons,” but quite a few have problems from inbreeding and neglect.  Realize that puppy mills (intense breeding facilities, dogs kept in “rabbit hutch” confinement, no vet care, minimal overhead investment) are the ONLY consistent source of puppies for pet stores.  No matter what the pet store owner or staff tell you, the puppies are coming from mills.  One pet store chain was proud to proclaim, “We do not buy from puppy mills.”  That was a legally true statement, because they bought from a broker, not directly from the puppy mill.

Puppy mill dogs are more likely to have genetic problems due to inbreeding.  When a mother dog is no longer producing sizeable litters, a female puppy is often kept to replace her.  When she comes into heat, she’s bred back to (guess who?) her father dog.  The pedigree is fudged, and business continues.  Congenital defects include bad hips, trick knees (patellar luxation), eye problems, epilepsy, and other issues not immediately detectable.  Ear mites, Demodectic mange, intestinal parasites, eye infections, lack of socialization, and exposure to distemper and parvo viruses are also common.  If the puppy is exposed to a virus, then vaccinated the same day, it’s virtually a race to see which wins.  Incubation time for the virus and the time it takes for a puppy to develop immunity against it are about the same, so it’s a gamble.  Also, if you take into account that many of the mother dogs are unvaccinated or behind in their vaccination schedule (overhead, remember), then the puppy lacks adequate maternal immunities.

Today you can find hundreds of online websites that sell puppies, but the situation is the same; they buy from brokers or directly from mills, and only have the puppies for a few days to weeks before they are sold.  It’s all smoke and mirrors on the website.

Here are some red flags to help prevent a puppy mill purchase:

1.     The mother dog is not on the premises (don’t believe, “She’s at a show” or some other excuse).

2.    There are a bunch of different breeds for sale by the same person.

3.    They’ll “meet you halfway” to complete the transaction (that’s because they don’t want you to see their facility or lack of one - all a sham).

4.    If registered, it is not through the American Kennel Club (AKC).  There are many “registration” companies out there that provide phony “papers.”

5.    The comment that “She was rescued from a puppy mill.”  That usually means she was bought at an auction or directly from the mill owner.  The source is the same.

People are making six-figure incomes by selling puppy mill puppies.  That’s why they do it, not for love of dogs.  Some will offer a lower price for cash, because they don’t claim the cash to the Internal Revenue Service.  So you are picking up some of their tax burden as well.  You are generally better off adopting a dog from a humane shelter or dog pound than buying one from a pet store or website.

If you want a particular breed, check with local kennel clubs about reputable breeders in your area.  You may have to drive a few hours to visit a breeder, but it will be due diligence.  Don’t be in a hurry to get a puppy.  Sometimes the breeder won’t have any puppies available just then, but have a litter or two on the way and you can put a down payment on one or get first choice.  It will be worth the wait to get a sound dog from a reliable breeder.

Breed rescue organizations should not be overlooked.  We’ve adopted three Dobermans from a rescue source that places adult dogs from various situations.  One of ours came from a home where the young son developed extreme allergies to the dog.  He turned out to be the best one ever.  Google “rescue” and the breed you’re looking for, and you might find a great match in your area.

Recommended breeds (personal choices): German shepherd/G. shepherd cross, Belgian malinois, Akita, border collie, Doberman

Now, I know some of you are going to say they had a Jack Russell that was incredible, or a Staffordshire terrier that could hear a leaf turn over in the yard, but there are reasons why the military and police forces choose certain breeds.  Size is intimidating, and with size comes strength.  Herding breeds are more conscious of their surroundings and are always scanning the horizon and listening for clues.  Some breeds seem to be easier to teach than others (Irish setters come to mind at the slower end of that scale).  There are always exceptions to the rule, such as an occasional Lab that makes the cut, or beagles for airport sniffing, but the best overall dog, in my opinion, would be a shepherd or shepherd cross.  The smartest/sharpest/most alert dog I ever owned was a 65-pound German shepherd cross (3/4 shepherd by appearance).  She was $20 at a farm home with a hand-lettered sign out front.

No reason to reinvent the wheel here.  Pick a breed that’s now being used for security work.  I’ve had several shepherd crosses over the years, three Akitas, and four Doberman pinschers.  Also a collie and a couple dachshunds.  Never owned a malinois or border collie, but I’ve worked on quite a few, and I totally respect the malinois.  The border collies are just high-energy, super-alert dogs that are anxious to work and anxious to please you.  I take care of a family of champion Rhodesian ridgebacks, which are sight hounds, and they are very alert, fast, and powerful, but they’re going to cost you more.  Remember, you should get two.

2R – A Case for Revolution

2R – A Case for Revolution

By Donald K. Allen, MS, DVM
     Lt. Col., USAFR (Ret.)

My political activity was essentially nonexistent prior to the year 2000.  I voted every other year primarily for Republican candidates, believing they represented my conservative viewpoint overall.  Raised in a Democrat family, issues were never really discussed; it was just the way my mother’s family had always voted.  They were immigrants from Lithuania.

My father died when I was six, and Mom raised my older brother and me on Social Security survivor’s benefits, for which I will always be grateful.  I understood the program then to be a “safety net” for just such situations, where the breadwinner was suddenly lost, and the widow needed help.  Our family was by no means rich; in fact we were lucky to not be classified as “poor,” or at least, I thought so.  Had survivor benefits not been available, Mom would probably have lost our home, not being able to pay the monthly mortgage, but what would have happened then?  We would have moved in with Grandma, and many people did just that when they lost their homes.  My father-in-law lost possession of his home once, too, and they had to rent for a number of years.

Now this administration is resurrecting President Franklin Roosevelt’s “Second Bill of Rights” from 1944. This "economic bill of rights,” as opposed to the political Bill of Rights, would guarantee: 1. Employment, with a living wage, 2. Freedom from unfair competition and monopolies, 3. Housing, 4. Medical care, 5. Education, and, 6. Social security.  Let’s take a look at this proposal.

1.     From the day you are born, the government will guarantee a job is waiting for you when you are old enough to work.  What age will that be?  I guess that will be decided in the future.  What job will that be?  The government will decide what job you may be qualified for, and what job workers are currently needed for.  (Want to be a doctor?  Sorry, we need computer-controlled lathe operators right now.)  This was the guarantee in the Soviet Union, too.

2.    There will be no “unfair competition” because the government will own all industry, which, in itself is a monopoly.  Same as in the USSR.

3.    You will be provided with housing.  It may be in a concrete high-rise; a “flat” of adequate size, just like all the others.  These are still being used all over Eastern Europe.  I’ve stayed in one.  There is one thermostat for the entire building.  You dress warm in the winters.  They were all owned by the state.

4.    You now have ObamaCare, so the state has control of that.  There was free health care in the Soviet Union, too.  It lagged woefully behind as medical care advanced in the West.

5.    You will be guaranteed an education (see 1.).  It may not be the education you want, but it will be the education the state needs.

6.    Social Security.  Check.

These were the guarantees of communism.  Nothing has changed, but Obama believes he can make socialism work where others have failed.  These were basic planks of The Communist Manifesto, written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848.  Read the ten points at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Communist_Manifesto.  You’ll see that others are either in place in the USA or are in the process of development.

There were “free elections” in the USSR.  And the Communist Party’s chosen candidate always won.  It was unanimous.  Now, in the last presidential election, we have seen that the Democrat/Liberal/Socialist/Communist Party has found that it has the ability, through enormous fraud, to win every coming election.  Computerized balloting makes it easy, and the Republican Party apparently has no desire to challenge voter fraud.  In fact, one writer stated that the two parties signed a binding contract in 1982 NOT to pursue suspected voter fraud.  http://www.newyorkdailysun.com/only-rebellion-can-save-america/1490.  So, a hundred more “elections” are not likely to change anything in Washington from this point on.

We vote for people we believe will represent us in the House of Representatives and the Senate, but our electoral process has become a delusion, a deception, and a diversion of the peoples’ attention.  They do not represent us.  From the day our Congressmen and women take office, the checks start pouring in from political action committees, corporations, political party groups, and individuals.  A freshman Representative can expect to receive at least a million dollars in his or her first term for their campaign funds.  This is the primary reason they are reelected at a rate of 98%.  It has very little to do with their voting records, since the vast majority of people pay no attention to that.  When they see the candidate up for reelection, and hear their names repeated on radio and television, the conditioning works, and they vote for them again.

Few political contenders can raise the funds for advertising, or muster the support of the party to unseat a loyal Representative.  Unless, that is, the Representative fails to obey party leadership.  Members of the House in both parties are told how to vote on each bill and issue.  That is why you see voting records of 100% alignment with their party.  Occasionally there are insignificant bills or matters that they may have “freedom” to vote one way or another, which accounts for voting records in the 90+ percentile instead.  (Look up your Congressperson’s record here: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/113/.)  Very likely, your Representative is just another puppet for the Party masters, and the masters are puppets of the corporations and wealthy interests.

This is not conjecture on my part; BOTH political parties are taking our country down the road to socialism, New World Order, and one world government under the United Nations.  And the UN will be controlled by those who provide the funding for its operations.  For the past 40+ years liberal socialism/progressivism/communism/ environmentalism/collectivism has been taught in our public education system, turning out good little people who do not question authority and believe that environmentalism trumps humanity (remember, 500 million people is the goal).  Stop coal-fired power plants and anything that may be negative toward the environment (again, the goal of pre-industrial levels of consumption).  The uber-wealthy scions of the world WANT socialism, because it puts total control of everything under the government.  As Mayer Amschel Rothschild, Godfather of the Rothschild Banking Cartel of Europe once said, "Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws."  Conspiracy theories?  No.  This is reality; you just need to face it.

Free market capitalism and individual freedom helped create the greatest nation the world has ever known, the wealthiest and most prosperous.  That is, until socialism began infiltrating our government about a hundred years ago.  First President Woodrow Wilson decided that our Founding Fathers were outdated, and that we should “unshackle” government instead of limiting it.  He sowed the seeds of the untenable crop we have inherited.  President Franklin Roosevelt was the next big socialist to install what would become the greatest Ponzi scheme ever devised – Social Security.  This “savings plan” for retirement was subsequently twisted, stretched, modified, and enlarged to make it virtually unrecognizable from its original framework.  It is bankrupt, surviving only off of new workers’ contributions – classic Ponzi.

President Lyndon Johnson thought he could expand American socialism, and he created Medicare and Medicaid.  President Bill Clinton strengthened them by making it mandatory that every American citizen who reaches 65 years of age must apply for Medicare.  Yes, even you retired military types!  And you thought Tricare would take care of you for free forever.  You and your spouse will be paying at least $100 a month after 65 to fund Medicare.  Every time our Republican legislators “compromised” with the Democrats, socialism took another step forward in our country.  This has been going on my entire life.

The moment our Congress authorized redistribution of wealth, via Social Security, our Nation began to move down the slippery slope of socialism.  Now, workers are taxed not just to support Constitutionally-authorized government responsibilities, but a myriad of totally unrelated programs and policies that hand out dollars to millions of outstretched hands.  America has the wealthiest class of “poor” in the entire world.  Foreign Aid is another unconstitutional redistribution of America’s wealth.  The American taxpayer is supporting governments and populations around the world today, both financially and militarily.  It needs to stop.  The only Foreign Aid should consist of translated copies of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.  These are the blueprints for success.

The People’s Republic of China is showing the world today that the communist form of socialism doesn’t work.  The ONLY reason Red China is advancing today is because it chose to embrace CAPITALISM.  After witnessing the downfall of the USSR and seeing the prosperity of Hong Kong under free market capitalism, the communist Chinese leaders made a wise decision.  That choice gave them a 50-year leap in technology, and modernized the industrial areas of the country virtually overnight.  Meanwhile, America is heading in the opposite direction.

There is also pressure, actually a driving force, from a group of uber-wealthy individuals who meet regularly to plan and plot the course of the world’s future.  Controlling the entire global economy is their ultimate goal, and they are well on their way to achieving it.*  They comprise a “shadow government” for many nations, including our own, and can buy and sell most third-world countries.  The most visible member in the USA is David Rockefeller, whose father donated the land for United Nations Headquarters in New York City.  The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), which many believe steers our government, has been a baby of the Rockefellers.  Since its founding in 1922, nearly every Secretary of State has been a member of the CFR, with direct access to the president’s ear.  The CFR has even written a new “Constitution” for America.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_on_Foreign_Relations

I believe Rockefeller funded the building of the Georgia Guidestones in 1979 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones), with a new “Ten Commandments” of sorts for the future of humanity.  Interestingly, the first, which requires a global population of just 500 million people, is repeated in the goals of the United Nations Agenda 21(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agenda_21 ).  Agenda 21 was signed by 178 governments in 1992, and although the USA was not one of them, we have nevertheless been implementing most of the directive.  It requires taking civilization back to “pre-industrial levels of consumption,” meaning giving up most of the luxuries we now enjoy.  Makes you wonder just who the elitists are planning on “saving” to comprise the half billion people of the world.  Believe me, they’re serious, and you can rest assured that their families will be controlling the population.

It is not the purpose of the President of the United States to raise-up the people of other countries.  Obama’s job should be the elevation of every American by freeing the people of government intrusion and control.  But he is doing just the opposite, enlarging government and increasing the demands, rules, regulations, and prohibitions that strangle free enterprise.  His purpose is to destroy our economy using Cloward-Piven strategy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloward%E2%80%93Piven_strategy, bringing all America to its knees so that we will beg for government salvation in the form of totalitarian socialism.  He is succeeding.  And there is only one hope left for America, and it is legally authorized by our Declaration of Independence.

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

We live today in America under far worse conditions of “taxation without representation” than our Colonial ancestors did.  King George III’s oppressive actions toward the Colonies pale in comparison to what “we the people” have tolerated for many decades, and now Obama is moving full speed ahead to change our Nation to his liking in the next four years.  Thirty years ago Americans worked the first three months of every year just to pay their tax burdens.  Today we must work over six months to do the same.  He will destroy every vestige of freedom and liberty first won by American Revolutionaries 237 years ago.  If we let him.  If we let them.

Five hundred retired generals and admirals signed a statement in support of Romney in the last election.  What they were stating was simply opposition to Obama’s plan for America.  Recently Marine Corps General James Mattis was relieved of duty without warning.  Obama appears to be purging our military of leaders who might oppose his orders.  General Mattis once said, "Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact."  Could this statement apply to domestic enemies of our country?

Oaths of enlistment and office state, “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”  Some might claim “domestic” enemies to be anyone who opposes the government, but they would be wrong.  If our government members ignore, override, or manipulatively reinterpret the Constitution, THEY are its enemies, not the citizens who may march to overthrow their illegal actions and restore its original intents.  “Progressives” believe mankind has moved ahead, and that the Constitution no longer applies in this modern age.  On the contrary, this document was written by men far more intelligent than those in Washington today; men who fully understood HUMAN NATURE.  The Founding Fathers could not comprehend future inventions or events, but they knew that government must be restrained or men and women would abuse their powers and expand government far beyond any needs.  Such as been the case since Congress first allowed a step outside the guardrails of the Constitution.

Col. Lawrence Sellin (USAR, Ret.) wrote an article in the New York Daily Sun recently entitled, “Only rebellion can save America.”  http://www.newyorkdailysun.com/only-rebellion-can-save-america/1490

I agree.  Time to plan a spring offensive on Washington, D.C., perhaps a fitting day would be April 15, 2013.  Discourse and election campaign promises are over; we must act with armed revolt or our grandchildren will be raised in a communist land, devoid of any semblance to the free America we grew up in.  Our military must obey their oaths and not defend the Capitol, but stand with the Revolution.  Police must do the same; stand down, and recognize the true traitors for who they are – Congress and President Obama, the moneyed lobbyists of K Street, and all who would transform our Nation from free market capitalism to collective socialism.  It ends now.

* The Bilderberg Group is one assembly of elitists that  meet on a regular basis to discuss world government.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_Group

Another “control” organization, founded by Rockefeller, is the Trilateral Commission. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trilateral_Commission They are not alone.
